Tartan Designer Installation

1) Download the demonstration version of Tartan Designer - click here

2) On receipt of a link by email click on link and choose 'Save this file to disk' and then choose a local directory on your machine.

3) When the download is complete find the directory on your machine and double click on the downloaded file (e.g. designersetup.exe).

4) The install program will start - just follow the on-screen instructions.

5) On completion an entry will appear in your Programs listing

Activating Tartan Designer

If you have not activated the program Tartan Designer will run in demo mode.  This is not time limited and allows many aspects of the program to be explored.  You will be able to view a limited number of tartans from the database and designs or new colour palettes can not be saved, also the 3D rotating view of tartan is disabled, however all other aspects of the program are fully functional.

Activating the program:

When you purchase the program you will receive an activation code by email (Keep a record of this as it will allow you to re-activate the program in the event of it having to be re-installed).

1) start the demon version of Tartan Designer (Start | Programs | Tartan Designer | Tartan Designer).

2) click on the splash screen as soon as it appears - this will bring up the Registration window.

3) take a note of the Program ID - this is the x digit number e.g. $xxxxxxxxxx

4) click on this link http://80.177.220.99/designer/unlock.php

5) in the appropriate boxes enter

a) the activation code you received in the email

b) the program ID

6) click OK  - the next screen will give you a KeyCode

7) go to the Tartan Designer Registration window and the enter the KeyCode, click OK.

8) Your copy is now activated.

You will now be able to view the complete database of tartans, save designs and colour pallets, and print out tartans.
